I spend 3 days a week working in the Bond Dept. of Dawson Insurance where we issue bid bonds for our contractor clients. Mondays and Fridays I enjoy my grandson and take him to the library or My Gym in Westlake. My husband and I have been bowling for years and we are now on a league with my daughter and her husband. I enjoy gardening, reading, and cooking.  I would like to get back to sewing and to re-learn knitting.  We have a little circle of neighbors and we get together for our birthdays, holidays and the Super Bowl.  I also see a lot of my Mom who has early signs of Alzheimers so I do her bills, etc. It is such a terrible thing to see the short term memory gone. My favorite place to vacation is Hilton Head Island where we've gone since 1989 -- I love relaxing at the ocean!

40 years!  Hi to everyone! Such a tall order to ask what life has taught. I guess it is mainly to show up and hang in there for whatever gets thrown at you. Presently for me it's bad knees and fibromyalgia. ~ Yippee!  On the bright side, a wonderful 38-year marriage (well, most of the 38 years were wonderful; some we would have traded out) ~ 2 great kids who have grown into loving, caring, well rounded people ~ past teen years of course, and being able to move around the country to new experiences and friends - you know, as in job changes. So, yin and yang keep your perspective and laugh about life and your own foibles as much as possible. Joys ~ Sponsoring Midshipmen from the Naval Academy in Annapolis.  There are no fraternities or sororities in the yard, so about 1200 families in the area take them in on weekends to feed, have sleep over, and be "home away from home".  These kids will be in more danger than ever when they leave school for their military assignments, so a little TLC goes a long way.  They become extended family, and it's great. Other joys:  fishing, boating, helping people make their homes happy and comfortable.  A little color on the walls, a little wine in the glass, a cozy couch, fluffy dog at your feet~ Boy, are we getting old, or what?  Ha! But don't we ALL deserve it after 40 years of hard work and life's little surprises?  You bet we do.  See you at the 40th!  Love to all!

KIDS:  My son is Nikolas Miner, born 04/01/69. He graduated from Simon's Rock College in Great Barrington, NY and went on to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He is now working for the American Red Cross in a management position.  He travels around upstate NY a lot for blood drives.  He is a great guy who is still unmarried, not for lack of trying, just not the right woman as yet. He is with a great one now, though, so who knows.Times are tough on the marriage scene.I am very proud of him and grateful to have him in my life. My daughter is Tess Miner-Farra, born 08/11/70. She graduated from Wells College in Aurora NY and got her masters at the U. of Utah (English Literature). She married John Farra who was an Olympian in Cross Country Skiing in 1992. They have, as I said, a 2-year-old daughter, Lina, and another daughter on the way due in Sept/Oct. Lina is really a pleasure to me. She brightens up every day for me, no matter how stressed out I get.Tess is now a full-time mom. She was Academic Dean at the National Sports Academy in Lake Placid, NY for several years before we moved here and last year she taught at UMPI (U. of Maine, Presque Isle), but she has chosen to take time off to have a second child and be a full-time mom. She is a great person. Her husband, John, works at Maine Winter Sports Center as a skiing coach.They are trying to redevelop skiing as a lifestyle here in Aroostook County (northern Maine). I am also tremendously proud of Tess and am very lucky to have such a great daughter.. Reunions are really not my thing; they make me nervous. Also, trips to Cleveland bring back a very angst-filled time in my life. I am glad that Al Greenleaf has taken the time to set up this web site, though. It is interesting to get news about what people are doing and have to say. I hope that all the reunion goers have a great time and I look forward to seeing news/pictures on the web site in future, if that is in the works.

We just moved to Lake Placid (halfway to retire).  We both enjoy the outside.  There are 82 lakes in our county. We live across the street from one of the biggest. Love to go boating and fishing.
