I feel extremely grateful for the good things that have happened in my life. I enjoy a great marriage with a wonderful wife and three great kids who remain the centerpiece of our lives. Fortunately they all have stayed close to home so we get together regularly and often vacation together. I have a law practice with a business and health care concentration. I have participated in numerous not for profit boards and activities through out the area so as to help give back to the community some measure for all my good fortune.  I enjoy boating, fly fishing (I have a place In Montana and a river runs through it), race horses (a few slow animals) travel (the American west, far east, Europe, Africa and the British Isles.) and hiking in the great out of doors.  I feel I obtained an excellent start with my Rocky River High School education. I still cannot spell so I will tell Mr. Burford and Miss Gray in absencia that I am still on! I am still only going to get a B- in English!  I thought of our class the other day when I drove down Avalon Drive and saw that Debby Murray's old house was for sale.  Wow time goes by fast.

Have lived in Texas 25 years and love it. Both kids and mom live in the area. Keep busy with job at Head Start (yes, it's still around) and have four dogs, all rescued from terrible situations. Started quilting two years ago, and am officer in local quilt guild. Love refinishing furniture, shopping for primitive artwork and Americana. Spend vacation traveling.

IDamian is a terrific kid who graduated from a high school very similar to Rocky River...a terrific musician he chose to attend Ball State University (yes, David Letterman's alma mater) and received a degree in business - he wanted to make money and I am pleased he is.  Married to Amy with one little one at home spends a lot of time at his inlaws cabin in the woods in southern Indiana. Carolyn is not only a great daughter but could be my best friend.  A very gifted violinist exceling during her younger years in singing , acting and dancing. Lots of recording gigs and TV work.  Now she is not sure what she wants to do but with the guys lined up to date her she may be in no rush to leave her summer job selling fudge on Mackinaw Island. I have had the advantage of reading all of your bios and am so impressed. Now I will write a little about my life.Before I begin I must get off my chest that I thought Mr. Donnelly's history classes boring and I think he read from the book - I had writer's cramp from the notes. Also, Miss White - I enjoyed speech class = was runner-up for Rotary Speech Contest and was the Moderator for an assembly: High School Rotary Speech contest:  "Prejudice is a slithering snake coiling around its victim crushing out all...."  Now freshman speech in college: "Fear is a slithering snake coiling around its victim crushing out all..."  At this time I would like to thank my HS sweetheart for writing that opening sentence - A's through HS, College, and Grad School in speech. Having joined all of you during our Junior year (transferred from Lakewood High School) it is amazing on how much RRHS meant to me and still does. If you all have the senior year yearbook you will see me playing drums and I still am! I gained some weight and my complexion is all cleared up and I sure do play better. Thanks for a great couple of years at RRHS in all the music groups.Went from RRHS to Baldwin-Wallace for a great education in music education.  Received my performance degree (MM) at New England Conservatory in Boston having studied with Vic Firth - attention to those of you with kids or grandkids playing percussion - they will be impressed your schoolmate studied with Vic Firth.  Now here is the interesting part: from grad school in Boston I flew to Cleveland for my 'draft physical' - I had a 'contract' to play in the Annapolis Band, thought I was going to be drafted --the last Doctor excused me from the service because of my terrible allergies (molds, ragweed, that stuff). I could not believe my good fortune and the next day flew to Indianapolis and auditioned for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra - landed the job and have been here ever since.  I can't tell you how often I do feel guilty that I did not serve in the armed forces - you know the story.ISO is one of 15 or so orchestras in the country with a 52 week season.  Even though I am still playing with the orchestra, after 17 years I did resign as the Orchestra Personnel Manager - a full time administrative position. Some of the attorneys in the class will be interested in knowing 1/2 of me was Union and 1/2 Management.  Yep, I can get along with everyone at work.I contract a lot of big functions in Indy, a little in Chicago, Tucson, etc.  Have a 7 piece band that plays a little of everything.  I usually front the band - we have personality - have added 16 violins to it before, for some major stuff. Headed the Percussion Dept. at Butler University for 10 years before doing the personnel manager thing, etc., etc. Volunteer work:  Board of Directors: International Perucussive Arts Society, New World Youth Orchestra, President of Carmel High School Orchestra Parent's Club.Health pretty darn good. I have good news for all of you - in my mind, since I have not attended any reunions, you are all around 18 years old and very healthy.  Also, no one has gone through a divorce and your life is ahead of you!!   Well, maybe that is not true but being almost 60 does not seem possible - we are still really 'cool people' and there is plenty awaiting us in our future.My best to my classmates and since I am now 'found' there is no way I will miss a reunion with you when I hit 60. I just hope the opportunity will present itself for everyone to talk to everyone about themselves.  By the way the 1963-1965 (an old girlfriend) had the best looking girls of any class anywhere - except for the classes our daughters have been in.

What I have been doing, especially lately:

Sharon and I have been enjoying our 3 grand kids.  They are all within 8 miles of us so we get to see them quit often. Sharon and I volunteer in our county parks system. Most our time is spent working at Crossroads Village (a historical village) that is part of the parks system. About 12 years ago we got real involved with the antique wooden carousel that we have in the village. Since then I have become the President of the Friend of the Carousel here. Sharon and I have been involved with both the national groups. Over the years we have been around the country seeing other antique carousels. This is something we can enjoy together. When not doing thing for the parks I do volunteer work at our church.  A lot of misc. repairs including taking care their phone system of course. The last 2 years I oversaw our 1.2 million building expansion. I know you have heard this before but, I don't know how I had time to work.
